Rapp Strategies, a strategic communications/public relations firm based in Minneapolis, is seeking to hire one or more candidates to work as an Assistant Account Executive (AAE) and/or Assistant Account Executive/Administrative Assistant (AAE/Admin).
In these entry-level roles you will be responsible for executing communications plans on behalf of clients under the direction of a senior staff member of the Rapp Strategies account team. These positions offer the opportunity to develop strategic and tactical skills that you will need to advance in the fields of public affairs and public relations. You will work with talented professionals who are creative and collaborative, assisting clients with interesting challenges.
We are looking for strong writers with a college degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations, marketing or related field to join our account team. All candidates will be evaluated based on the following skills:
Excellent writing and research skills
Proficiency working across social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Familiarity with design programs such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
Knowledge of website platforms such as Squarespace and WordPress
High attention to detail
Eagerness to learn and grow
We will consider recent college graduates with work experience through community leadership, volunteerism or internships. However, professional work experience in communications or marketing is also helpful.
